The UK is currently in turmoil as the dust settles after the choice to leave the EU was made. In what has been a drama-filled few weeks as the GBP has dropped, the FTSE has fallen and bounced back, political parties have seen resignations en masse, demands for leaders to be fired and even treachery.
Also affected was OnePlus, having increased prices in Europe last year after fluctuations in the Euro the company has now followed up on their recent warnings and has confirmed that for the time being, the price of the OnePlus 3 will increase by £20 ($26 by current exchange rates) however, there has been no change to the price of accessories only to the device itself.
“Given the effects of the unstable markets on our extremely thin margins, we’re reluctantly going to have make some small changes to our pricing structure for the device. In practical terms for our customers, this means that from July 11, 2016 (that’s next Monday), the OnePlus 3 will be £329 in the UK.”
Thankfully, the increase of £20 is still minute when compared to the price of many other flagship tier devices. If you are looking to buy a OnePlus 3 and want to save yourself a bit of cash you still have some time to pick it up before the change. As and when the GBP recovers over time we should see the price come down once more.
