Save big on the Galaxy S20 with the best deals and discounts

Want to buy the S20? Here's where you can save the most money.

Samsung's latest and greatest — the Galaxy S20 — has arrived. It's packed with impressive specs and features, making it one of the most well-rounded phones you can buy in 2020. You also have plenty of options to choose from, with Samsung offering the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra all at the same time.

However, as appealing as the new phones are, they're going to cost you. The base Galaxy S20 has a steep starting price of $1,000, the S20+ kicks things up to $1,200, and you'll pay a hefty $1,400 for the privilege of owning the top-tier S20 Ultra.

If you're interested in picking up an S20 for yourself but have sticker shock from those price tags, fear not. We've gathered up all of the best deals and discounts on the S20 to show you how you can get Samsung's latest flagship without totally breaking the bank.

Samsung Straight from the source

Starting first with Samsung, arguably the best place to buy the S20 from, you can buy all three models of the new phone — the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.

There are a couple of different promos being offered, with the most noteworthy being Samsung's trade-in credits. If you have a phone to trade-in, you can get up to $700 off when trading in a phone. Even better, the credit is offered instantly at the time of purchase. Here are a few examples of what Samsung's offering:

  • Galaxy Note 10 — $700 credit
  • iPhone 11 Pro — $700 credit
  • Galaxy S10 — $600 credit
  • Pixel 4 — $600 credit
  • iPhone 11 — $600 credit
  • Galaxy S9 — $300 credit
  • Pixel 3a — $200 credit

On top of those savings, Samsung is also giving away four months of YouTube Premium with any Galaxy S20 purchase. That's a total value of almost $50, so it's certainly nothing to scoff at.

Samsung makes it easy to save on a new S20. If you trade-in a phone, you can get up to $700 off your purchase. Furthermore, all S20 orders come with four months of free YouTube Premium.

Amazon Free earbuds and wireless charger

Amazon is the largest online retailer on the planet, so it shouldn't be any surprise that it's selling the Galaxy S20. First, let's start off with the basics.

All three versions are up for grabs on Amazon, meaning you can buy the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. All four colors are also here, so whether you want Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink, Cosmic Black, or Cosmic Gray, Amazon has you covered. The phones are eligible for Prime shipping, meaning you'll get one or two-day delivery depending on where you live.

You can buy the phones outright at the normal retail prices, but you'll definitely want to pick up the bundle Amazon is selling.

No matter which model you buy, you can get it with a free pair of Galaxy Buds and Samsung's Duo Wireless Charging Station — a total value over $150. These are the first-gen Galaxy Buds and not the new Galaxy Buds+, but it's still a fantastic deal.

Although Amazon isn't offering direct discounts on the Galaxy S20, it is throwing in a free accessory bundle. Buy any S20 model, and you'll get free Galaxy Buds and Duo Wireless Charging Station — over a $150 value!

Best Buy Only place to get Aura Blue

Best Buy is the go-to electronics retailer for a lot of folks in the U.S., and as you'd expect, it's selling the entire Galaxy S20 lineup in all of its glory. Whether you want to buy the S20 on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, or unlocked, Best Buy has you covered.

Right off the bat, Best Buy has a sweet trade-in deal that could save you up to $850. After you make an eligible trade-in and activate your new phone, Best Buy is advertising the following prices:

  • Galaxy S20 — $149.99 ($6.24/month for 24 months)
  • Galaxy S20+ — $349.99 ($14.58/month for 24 months)
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra — $549.99 ($22.91/month for 24 months)

Best Buy is also the only place where you can get the Galaxy S20+ in the stunning Aura Blue color, which we'd happily argue is one of the best colors you can get.

Sam's Club Exclusive for members

Sam's Club might not be the first place you think of looking when going out to buy a new phone, but if you're in the market for a Galaxy S20, it's definitely worth checking out.

You can get all three models of the S20 at Sam's Club, but we'd recommend getting the S20+ or S20 Ultra if you're shopping here. Both of those models come with a $200 Sam's Club gift card with your purchase and activation, and the deal is good through March 15. We wish the regular S20 was also eligible for this deal, but c'est la vie.

For Sam's Club shoppers, you can get a $200 Sam's Club gift card if you buy the S20+ or S20 Ultra and activate it with an installment plan. Unfortunately, this deal does not apply to the regular S20.

AT&T Lots of work, but worth it

AT&T is also carrying every version of the S20, so whether you want the regular S20, S20+, or S20 Ultra, you can get it here. In addition to buying the phones outright at the full retail prices, AT&T also offers 30-month financing with 0% interest:

  • Galaxy S20 — $33.34/month for 30 months
  • Galaxy S20+ — $40/month for 30 months
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra — $46.67/month for 30 months

In the promo/deal world, customers that switch to AT&T can get up to $1,200 off their purchase of a Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra. This deal requires an eligible installment plan, unlimited service plan, and trade-in. However, if you can jump through all of those hoops, it's worth a look.

Running now through May 2, you'll also get $50 off the new Galaxy Buds+ with your purchase of any S20. That brings the Buds+ down to just $100, which is a great price considering how good the earbuds are.

Boost Mobile For pre-paid customers

Boost Mobile is a pre-paid wireless provider that's powered by Sprint's network, and if it's your carrier of choice, it's got you covered with the Galaxy S20.

Boost is only selling the baseline S20, which means no S20+ or S20 Ultra. You'll also need to buy the phone outright at the normal retail price of $1,000.

There aren't any S20-specific deals at Boost, but if you switch to Boost from another company, you can get up to four lines with unlimited data for $100/month.

Boost Mobile is skipping over the S20+ and S20 Ultra, and instead just selling the regular Galaxy S20. You'll pay the full $1,000 retail price to own the phone, but switching over to Boost could save you money on your monthly wireless bill.

Sprint Get an S20 for free

For those of you that rely on Big Yellow for your wireless service, you'll be able to get the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra with some impressive savings to boot. You can buy the phones outright, or take advantage of monthly financing.

Sprint has two offers you'll want to keep your eyes on, the first of which lets you get a Galaxy S20 for $0/month when you add a new line of service. Alternatively, you can get the S20+ for $8.33/month or the S20 Ultra for $16.67/month.

On top of those savings, Sprint is also offering 50% off the Galaxy Watch Active 2 via monthly credits when you add it to a new watch plan.

T-Mobile, everyone's favorite Un-Carrier, will sell every model of the S20 family. That includes the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra (you know the drill by now). You can buy the phones outright if you want, or finance them over the course of 24 months while paying 0% interest.

U.S. Cellular Free phone? Yes please

U.S. Cellular isn't the largest carrier out there, but if you rely on its service for your wireless coverage, you can rest assured that it's carrying the entire Galaxy S20 family. At its normal retail prices, U.S. Cellular will offer all three phones on 30-month installment plans.

  • Galaxy S20 — $33.30/month for 30 months
  • Galaxy S20+ — $36.63/month for 30 months (128GB) or $44.99/month for 30 months (512GB)

If you're a new customer and switch to U.S. Cellular, you can get an S20 for free. To be eligible for this deal, you'll need to complete an eligible trade-in, add a new service plan, get a new line, and port-in an existing phone number.

Alternatively, customers that meet this criteria can also get the S20+ for $6.65/month or the S20 Ultra for $13.32/month. In both cases, you'll need to meet those payments for 30 months.

Verizon Lots of ways to save

Verizon offers some of the best wireless coverage in the United States, and to no one's surprise, it has the S20+ and S20 Ultra up for grabs. The regular S20 isn't here quite yet, but it will be made available later in the year.

The S20+ will set you back $49.99/month over the course of 24 months, with the S20 Ultra going for $58.33/month for 24 months. Those payment plans come with 0% interest, so in total you're still paying the normal retail price of $1,200 and $1,400, respectively.

Right now, Verizon is offering a $150 discount on the S20+ whether you pay with monthly payments or stomach the full upfront retail price. Furthermore, if you buy one S20+, you'll save $1,200 when you buy a second one. In this case, however, you will need to add at least one of the phones as a new line with an unlimited plan.

As if that wasn't enough, Verizon also allows you to get up to $450 off the S20+ with a select trade-in when upgrading your line.
